Day7-UNAM

This is the day Emmanuel and I decided to get a tour of his school. Emmanuel is the guy I met last week on the street when I was lost. He quickly bonded. At first I thought he was gay just wanting to get at me. But he turned out to be a student who is new in this city and a friendly idealist.

Universidad nacional Autonoma de Mexico (UNAM)
is Emmanuel s school. Enrollment of over 300,000 students . This school was so massive that it had 12 different bus lines. It had Olympic stadium. Tuition is Free! Unbelievable.
Met a student from San Diego when I was using Internet in the bibliotheca

Emmanuel found me there then we walked around school and took couple bus lines to view the school.

Due to my sprained ankle I avoided walking. Building were massive and beautiful.

I was learning Spanish from Emmanuel the whole time.

We took metrobus to Zona Rosa so I can go to Casa de cambio and eat tacos together. I was happy to find Wifi
"tienes wifi ?" so I can check in on foursquare. I was really annoyed that UNAM did not have public wifi for me to use because I really wanted to check in!

When I got back to Luz and Juan s Casa we had Sol that I brought. I showed Luz Stimbleupon and she lived it. Juan and I shared many similarities in our interest in TED, mobile apps, telecommunication companies, and its capabilities. Luz shared her experience about
Her small town chihuahua, her crazy brother, her mom, and her decision to move.
Luz is a driven person and disciplined as she goes to the Pilates gym every morning at 6am.
We also talked about Mexican government and comparisons in culture of Korea and Mexico. Luz had extensive knowledge about couchsurfing(cs) and travel and they were very helpful. They lead by example to show kindness and that this world can function with trust.
I will never forget them as they were my first CS and they took a leap of faith in me when I had no reference.

I loved Luz expressive and free behavior. She can be like a mom who is reserved and mature and turn around and be a girl next door. We had interesting conversation about romantic relationship.
Make sure to send them a post card.
