Left Zona rosa with intention to find a locker. Walked around all over Zona rosa for an hour. Was not happy because pounding headache is daily now. I can only assume its lack of water and clean oxygen. It's becoming a daily routine to drink water in the morning in a hurry.
No luck finding locker.
10am Called Amigo Hostel. It had the best review. They have a locker.
This is definitely happening place. Tons of ppl, big space, bar, lounge, play room, well done.
12:30pm
Had quesadilla at a local restaurant. Despite what conservative ppl in US told me about food poisoning, no problem.
Zocalo is one of the location Luis recommended and it was within walking distance. It's equivalent to pentagon or white house. There was a massive catholic church as well. I went into the church first. Very humbling.
When I got out I met a girl from Australia. Most white tourist that I met are from Australia. Her name is Catherine. We were just getting acquainted, two Mexican boys, Eduardo and Daniel approached us and asked to interview us for their school homework. They were eager to learn English. 18 and 19 years old. They were shy at first but grew courage.
We ended up using my superior phone to record and after that we went to get food together. We taught each other espanol and English.
I didn't have enough pesos. Restaurant owner wouldn't accept dollar nor card so Daniel stayed, Eduardo left his phone with owner and we went to the ATM. When we came back I was still short $40 pesos. With our good looks charm and tourist badge, they let go.
We continued to walk around conversing constantly. We exchanged our contact info with promises to find each other on fb and post the interview material on YouTube. Adios
As soon as they left, other students approached me to interview me for their English class. This it was 25 year old mechanical engineering student who showed me his charisma, humble character, gratitude and his flawless key chain.
545pm it's getting dark and I'm tired. Pounding headache started again. I'm in a shopping district, ppl and cars filled streets, music, honks, brakes screeching, kids yelling, street salesman are getting louder and beggars getting aggressive. For some reason I was comfortable. I love ppl watch. I'm used to a big city but only reminded me why I left Korea.
Next day my intention is to go to anthropologie museum tour that starts at 10am from my hostel and I had no Pesos. All the banks are closed and can't find Casa de Cambia.
"Estoy buscando casa de Cambia"
After walking around for an hour, found one. On my way back to the hostel. I asked Mexican guy in pink shirt with backpack about my age "donde estamos?" he not only gave me direccion but also walked me all the way to the hostel. He spoke English and wanted a practice. I invited him. In and we had drinks at the bar. The whole room was filled with music. He chatted for awhile. He left. Bartender and I quickly connected with our passion for electronic music and told me where I can go dance and let it make sweet love to my ears. I was excited!! Because next day is Friday!
Danced with few other ppl. Net a girl from Oregon who seem to be fond of me.
After making couch request online at 1am I went to the bed. I could not fall asleep with ease. But I feel fine nontheless.
